I am a producer, guitarist and songwriter. Here you can find information about my studio and work as a guitarist and songwriter.
Studio
I recently moved to the Inner Islands Music Studio in The Hague (photo's to follow soon). Combining a very well acoustically treated control room with a small recording room, a nice spacey hangout with kitchen and daylight everywhere, it is a really great place for any creative process.
Recording
The Inner Islands Music Studio is a great place for recording guitars, vocals, even drums and especially re-amping. We lots of great pre-amps and microphones
i.e. UA 6176, GreatRiver MP-2NV, Peluso 2247 tube mic, Coles/Beyerdynamics/Cascade ribbon mics, Shure SM7b, etc.
Mixing
I mix using an analog summing mixer (Dangerous Music) and can apply a lot of special treatments i.e. re-amping and some nice outboard FX gear (i.e. Roland Space Echo, Spring verbs)
Mastering
I can deliver mastered tracks for CD, digital (online) and vinyl releases. Usually this is a DDP-image with all the codes and CD-text.
Recent releases:
Guitars
I own some nice guitars and amps (i.e. Gibson, Fender, Ampeg, Marble) and loads of effect-pedals.
I have a real passion recording guitars and looking for the best tone. Naturally, I feel most at home producing guitar-based music.
As a guitarist, I am currently playing with David Benjamin and Shifting Daylight.
Songwriting
The Inner Islands Music Studio is an ideal workspace for songwriting. I do a lot of co-writing at my studio, and we're setup to record and produce immediately during writing!
